This Chardonnay from Bande Apart was made from fruit grown in the Peacock Road Vineyard in Lenswood in the Adelaide Hills. 

Bernard 95 clone Chardonnay was hand-picked and chilled overnight, before being whole bunch pressed straight to barrel without settling (full solids).  The wine underwent wild fermentation before spending 8 months in old French oak with minimal battonage (lees stirring).  Bottled without fining or filtration. 

Crunchy white nectarine, white peach pit, lemon pith, delicate Spring florals and subtle oak framing.  Flavourful, yet tight, this wine shows a great balance of grip and energy.  The palate is savoury and salivating with a salty lick of preserved lemon.  

Only 3 barrels produced.
