Producer Spotlight: Travis Earth
Growing up in his father’s (Robert O’Callaghan) winery on Krondorf Road gave Travis a rare insight into the wine business, watching one man’s dream of creating a traditionally handcrafted winery in a time when the Australian wine industry was driven by technological advancement and mass production.
Robert's dream seemed to be a near-impossible task at the time, to the point that people thought him quite the mad man. What people underestimated was Robert's passion, tenacity and belief in the diversity of the vineyards and the uniqueness of the Barossan culture.
Travis has a very strong belief in keeping all the parcels of fruit separate, from fruit to wine and on to bottle. Travis thought all wineries did this. It wasn’t until he ventured out and started working for other wineries that he realised that this wasn’t so. Most people I met boxed Barossa as one single entity - something he just doesn't agree with.
Come taste Travis Earth Wines Saturday 18th May from 4-6pm.

Fleurieu Distillery The Albatross Whiskey
With the weather cooling down why not pick up a Whiskey to warm the cockles. This multi-award winning Whiskey is distilled on the Goolwa Wharf by the Fleurieu Distillery.
On the nose, it presents a lifted malt aroma, inviting exploration. The palate delivers a lively experience, where notes of allspice and nutmeg dance gracefully, intertwined with the richness of tawny oak, imparting both weight and length to the whiskey. As the journey concludes, the finish leaves a lasting impression, with a lingering sweetness reminiscent of barley and raisins, adding a touch of elegance to this exceptional spirit.
