No or Low Alcohol Wine
Barossa Wine Cartel "No, No" Rose 2022
Smells like strawberries, raspberries, cherries, watermelon and red apples.
Tastes like watermelon and pink grapefruit, and has a nice creaminess at the finish. It starts off sweet and ends up with the acid balancing the sugar. The salt also helps to smooth out the back of the palate and add length.
It is delicious on its own, or you can add some soda water to it... even some white spirits if you can't stand the idea of having no alcohol ;)
INGREDIENTS- Barossa Valley Riesling, Barossa Valley Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills Spring Water, Adelaide Hills Cherry Juice and Murray River Salt.
REGION- Barossa Valley
SUBREGIONS- Greenock and Marananga
This is BWCs first attempt at a non-alcoholic drink under the BWC label, perfect for those looking for an alternative to wine. Whether you are on a health kick, pregnant, or just looking for something different to drink. This is the perfect choice to keep in the fridge!
This Rosé is made out of old vine, dry grown Riesling from Greenock and Chardonnay from Marananga. Both varieties were hand picked by some of their friends and customers, affectionately known as the Grape Mules on the 6th of February 2022.
The grapes were then pressed and the juice was chilled, settled and filtered. At this stage it is known as Verjus (early picked grape juice). BWC then added Adelaide Hills Cherry Juice from the Ceravolo family, who supply Ashton Valley Fresh. The Cherry Juice added colour, flavour and tannin to the Rosé.
Murray River Salt was added to add weight to the palate and help soften the acid and dull down the sweetness of the grape juice and cherry juice. Murray River salt is removed from ancient saline waters sourced from underground aquifers that would otherwise end up in the River Murray.
To balance the Rosé, Adelaide Hills Spring Water was added and a small amount of dissolved carbon dioxide was added at bottling to give the Rosé a slight spritz on the palate.
