Barossa Wine Cartel are Ellen and Josh.
Josh graduated back in 2007 with a degree in Oenology after completing vintages at Peter Lehmann's in 2002, Yalumba in 2006 and Two Hands in 2007. Josh was then offered the role of Assistant Winemaker at Two hands in 2008, before accepting a role at Henchke in 2009, where Josh spent 5 years on the winemaking team, learning most of his skills from Stephen Henschke and Paul Hampton. This is also where he grew to love Organics and Biodynamics. In 2013, Josh moved back and took over his families winery, Whistler, growing and making the wines for 7 years before he decided it was time to start his own label. As so BWC was born!
Ellen started in the wine industry by working in wine labs throughout vintages, before realising her passion lay in face to face interaction with customers. Having been on maternity leave raising our little ones, BWC is the perfect opportunity for her to do what she loves again while still taking care of their boys.
